NOTE:

The Live Oak Photographic Society will have its' monthly meeting on Thursday, June 3rd at the Colorado County Services Facility at 305 Radio Lane in Columbus.

At this months' meeting, we will have a multimedia presentation on wildlife photography by award winning photographer, Todd Steele.

Todd J. Steele started his love for the outdoors and photography as a young boy in Pennsylvania. Taking pictures of the many fish he would catch and wildlife he pursued. He studied photography in college while attaining a Biology degree from Millersville University. He moved on to California to become a Commercial Diver. Todd ended up on the Texas Gulf Coast, diving in the Gulf of Mexico for ten years created a new love for saltwater fish and marine wildlife. He continued his love for photography by becoming an accomplished underwater photographer. In addition to diving he has spent the last twenty years developing habitat on large tracts of land for migrating waterfowl that winter on the Texas coast. Todd has enjoyed calling Texas home for the past twenty-five plus years with his wife, Nancy, and their two boys, Hunter and Forrest, all avid photographers.

PROGRAM:

15 minute presentation on key ingredients in the making of a good nature photograph
30 minute multiple slideshow presentation synced to music of wildlife pictures taken on the Fennessey Ranch last spring
15 minute presentation on Fennessey Ranch Photo Club & Tours

The program starts promptly at 7:00PM with a "get acquainted" time at 6:30PM The public is invited!! If you are an advanced amateur, a snapshooter, or just love photography, this is for you. DIRECTIONS:

From Fayetteville, go South, from Columbus go North, on Highway 71 and take the Columbus/Weimar exit at Highway 90. Exit to the right as if making a U-turn and go to the stop sign at Highway 90. Turn right on Highway 90, go under the underpass, and take an immediate right on Radio Lane which is parallel to the overpass. Continue one block and it is on your left: Colorado County Services Facility at 305 Radio Lane.

Enter the meeting room from the side parking lot; the front door will be closed.

Attention all photo buffs!!! A Camera Club for Everyone!!!!

All persons interested in photography are invited to attend. This is open to pros, amateurs and folks who still have their cameras in the box!! ;-) We will explore Q & A sessions, photo challenges and workshops on various aspects of photography. Both film and digital will be discussed. Bring one or two photos to show and discuss...use your creativity and imagination!!! Bring your camera!!

We will continue to meet at 7:00pm on the first Thursday of every month,
barring scheduling conflicts.

I highly recommend this course, great folks to work with, you set your own pace, and get feedback from real, live people!!!
